iPhone TIPS: Will Microsofts Surface as iPad Killer Does His Job ?

- by iPhone-Tips-Tricks.com - Q: What is happened? A: Microsoft, Steve Ballmer, has announced the new tablet device with a keyboard. Q: How does it called? It is named "Surface". This is the same name as the big-ass table computer that Microsoft has announced back in fall 2007. See this hilarious video on THIS older post. Q: Does it compete with the Apple iPad? A: Well it has far less apps of course to do something useful with. The iPad has about 140.000+ iPad app, Android has some hundreds and Windows Surface has just started with 0+ apps and needs to grow. (source: geek.com) The question is, what are you gonna do with a tablet PC, without a good amount of apps? Q: A loose keyboard, does that work? A: Well, we haven't been hands-on yet. However, I know that Apple has thought about a computer with touchscreen. That not works well if you use the keyboard and must touch the screen to select things!! imagine that. So I hope the touchpad on the surface computer as well as on any Macbook, enough surface to work on it. Another cosmetic thing is that you will need to attach a usb devices and power on the lid of your computer. For the rest, we will welcome Microsoft to improve the tablet market in favor of the customer. Q: video? A: Found a few this morning and placed below including some specifications of the two types of tablets: Specs: OS:
Windows RT Light(1): 676 g Thin(2): 9.3 mm Clear: 10.6" ClearType HD Display Energized: 31.5 W-h Connected: microSD, USB 2.0, Micro HD Video, 2x2 MIMO antennae Productive: Office '15' Apps, Touch Cover, Type Cover Practical: VaporMg Case & Stand Configurable: 32 GB, 64 GB Surface for Windows 8 Pro OS: Windows 8 Pro Light(1): 903 g Thin(2): 13.5 mm Clear: 10.6" ClearType Full HD Display Energized: 42 W-h Connected: microSDXC, USB 3.0, Mini DisplayPort Video, 2x2 MIMO antennae Productive: Touch Cover, Type Cover, Pen with Palm Block Practical: VaporMg Case & Stand Configurable: 64 GB, 128 GB (via techtubecentral)

iPhone TIPS: iOS 6 - iPad 3 Owners Get Siri

-by iPhone-Tips-Tricks.com -  Q: Okay I have the new iPad, what is in for me with iOS 6? A: You are lucky If you own the new iPad (3th gen). In iOS 6, you will get Siri for free! That means you can ask questions or provide instructions to your iPad. For example, you could ask Siri what weather it is outside. Or to send an message or add an appointment in your calendar. And as iOS 6 adds additional language support [see this Post] It will answer back in Madarin chinese, Cantonese, Italian or Spanish. And if you have a iPad with 3G with the assisted GPS, You will get local search results from around the world

iPhone TIPS: iOS 6 - Siri will do Local Search Around the World, Finally!

-by iPhone-Tips-Tricks.com -  Q:When you use Siri outside the US to find a restaurant, you will only get results located in the USA. Is that solved in iOS 6? A: Actually, Steve Forstall today announced that local search queries with Siri, will provide world wide results. At this moment, when you are in for example in Barcelona Spain, and ask Siri for something to eat, Siri will send you to restaurants in New York City. Annoying and not cool. According to Apple, in iOS 6, Siri will provide you real local search results wherever you are in the world. Q That is great, but I only speak mandarin chinese or Italian, can I speak mandarin or Italian to Siri now? A: Yes you can! In iOS 6, Italian, Korean and Cantonese are supported ! And it talks back in your lingo!!! cool.
