XBox SmartGlass VS Apple TV Remote

Q: Okay, what is XBox SmartGlass exactly? A: According to wikipedia:
Xbox SmartGlass is an upcoming application for Windows 8, Windows Phone and other mobile devices. It connects with the Xbox 360 and allows more interactive entertainment, allowing mobile devices to serve as second screens.
I have watched todays presentation and demo by this Microsoft Xbox guy (see video below). The strange part is, at the end of the demo, you do not really realize that Xbox SmartGlass is just a piece of software. Most people think of a transparent glass device that needs to be connected to your xbox. (Or did I miss something) Apple would call it an App! It is presented a little similar like a Apple product introduction keynote. However I felt it was too busy with a lot of annoying music and other noise. - And he really forgot to clear up for the people that smartglass is just an app. - did I said that before? - And to be honest, there is just a little more functionality than a good old Apple TV with your iPad, iPhone, iPod or Mac. You can play music, play movies, play TV series. and photos? Use your mobile device as a remote. But he had one big surprise: They added Internet Explorer on the Xbox ! So is Internet Explorer the killer app? is that all ? The app will be released this fall. Apple would say exactly the start of the shipping day, but the guys from Xbox are careful. The most annoying demo-part is to start an website via 1st generation voice command system and it still not working well. The iPhone 4S Siri, which belongs to the 3th generation voice command technology is far more advanced and accurately and available ages ago! So what do you think?
